Street Library Supporter Jules (@julie.jenkinsjessup on Facebook) is using her Street Library books to support the Veterans Community Working Party CIC.
The Veterans Community Working Party CIC is a non-profit community interest company registered in the United Kingdom, which supports military veterans by offering skills training in social and life areas to aid their transition to civilian life, while also fostering community strength through camaraderie and shared activities.
Their programmes include peer support groups featuring mindfulness practices such as stone balancing and gardening to help participants regain a sense of control. They also host Christmas dinners for veterans, and actively seek funding to sustain operations.
