There is level access in Ayr India Indian Restaurant in Ayr. It is totally step-free from the pavement outside, to your table inside. And from your table to the accessible toilet.
And when it comes to excellent Indian food, Ayr is blessed with having two of the best Indian restaurants in all of Scotland (not just in Ayrshire).
And of the two, Ayr India has THE best food in town (the Rupee Room is the other – a very close second, and also accessible).
Be very careful though! There are actually two different Ayr India restaurants in Ayr. This one, Ayr India Town Centre, and another at Ayr India Seafront (which is first-floor restaurant – so steps!).
Accessible Parking at Ayr India Indian Restaurant in Ayr
There is no parking at all directly outside of Ayr India (it’s actually located near a traffic-light controlled junction).
However, there is accessible parking available near Ayr India – on either side of Wellington Square (just a few metres away). Parking here is normally “Pay & Display” (but accesible parking is free for Blue Badge holders).
Access - Entrance to Ayr India Indian Restaurant in Ayr
There is level access via the main entrance to Ayr India (there is a very slight incline on the exterior of the doorway, but so slight that it is barely noticeable).
The entrance door swings outwards though, and although the door remains open when fully opened, another pair of hands will certainly help (Ayr India staff are always on hand though – and will gladly offer you any assistance that you might require).
Accessible Toilets at Ayr India Indian Restaurant in Ayr
There is a separate wheelchair accessible toilet in Ayr India. Again, step-free from your table. There is a swing door to pass through first – but this is no problem at all.
