Accessible Anne Frank House in Amsterdam
I only include the accessibility of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam – to explain it’s INaccessibility!
You see, the Anne Frank House Museum is really in two parts:
The original house, including the Secret Annex where Anne hid. And this involves climbing some very steep stairs – with no lift (it’s an old house).
However, there is a newer part of the museum which is accessible. This part of the museum houses a temporary exhibition, the museum shop & the museum cafe.
My advice:
Your time in Amsterdam is likely to be quite limited. And there are so many other attractions in Amsterdam which are fully wheelchair accessible.
So just buy a copy of The Diary of a Young Girl (Anne Frank’s Diary) – and spend your limited time in Amsterdam elsewhere.
