Accessible A'DAM Lookout Amsterdam

The lift that takes all visitors to the top of the building is wheelchair accessible.

The "Over The Edge" swing on the rooftop of the A'dam Lookout is only accessible if you can walk for a few steps. Otherwise, just enjoy the 360-degree views over Amsterdam. Or take a seat in the Amsterdam VR Ride, put on the VR glasses and take a lifelike roller coaster ride right through central Amsterdam.

Getting to the A'DAM Lookout in Amsterdam by public transport

Although the A'dam Lookout is on the "other side" of the IJ from Amsterdam Centraal Station, it is easily accessed by ferry (take the "F3" ferry from behind Centraal Station to Buiksloterweg).

After arriving at Buiksloterweg, it's then an easy 3-minute roll to the A'Dam Lookout (the tower is located beside the Amsterdam EYE Film Museum building).

The public ferries in Amsterdam are very wheelchair accessible (forget about ideas of small boarding ramps lowering you into the boat). Each ferry has a wide, ground-level boarding ramp, which is used by pedestrians, cyclists (who just cycle on board), mopeds and wheelchairs. You simply roll on board (without the need for any boarding help from the ferry staff).

And even better, the blue and white public ferries in Amsterdam are FREE.

Access - Entrance to the A'DAM Lookout in Amsterdam

If you are arriving at the A'DAM Lookout by the public Amsterdam ferry (recommended), and then rolling to the main entrance of the A'dam Lookout tower, access to the building is via a ramp.

If you are arriving at the A'dam Lookout by taxi (not recommended though - as taxis have to take a very roundabout route to get here, so it will be expensive), then there is a lift from the parking level below the building, which will take you up to the main/ground floor.

After showing your tickets (you can buy tickets at the A'dam Lookout itself, but booking online in advance gives you a discounted rate), a lift then whisks you up to the 20th floor.

Accessible Toilets at the A'DAM Lookout in Amsterdam

Wheelchair accessible toilets are available on both the ground floor, and also on the 20th floor too.

Accessible Cafe/Restaurant at the A'DAM Lookout in Amsterdam

The 360-degree, revolving restaurant on the 20th floor of the A'dam Lookout is wheelchair accessible (plus the wheelchair accessible toilet is nearby). There is also a bar on the rooftop of the A'dam Lookout.
