After two and a half years of walking for charity, my ataxia has progressed to the stage where I now have to hang up my boots.
But don’t worry. This is definitely not the last of my awareness-raising/fundraising (just the long-distance walking bit).
I can still get around for shorter distances. And for shorter breaks. But European short-breaks are the best that I can hope for now.
A lifetime’s worth of travel experience?
A fairly healthy social media following (well, on Twitter at least)?
And I seem to have become rather adept at courting publicity.
I’m sure I’ll come up with a way of using these to raise even more ataxia-awareness, and add to the £1,100 already raised for Ataxia UK.
So, as one door closes….
