Benicassim was one of the places I most wanted to see. Primarily to see the beautiful villas on the promenade here. Benicassim was the playground of the rich from Spain (and the rest of Europe). However, during the Spanish Civil War, these beautiful villas were transformed into hospitals for wounded International Brigade soldiers, including Hemingway.
And where better to enjoy my morning coffee than in Torreón, a promenade cafe run by the most famous hotel in town.
