Aviemore: Strathspey Steam Railway.
The first section of my journey on the Highland Main Line was so short for a very good reason:
The Strathspey Railway, which starts from Aviemore.
This is the jumping off point of the first of many railway-based sidetracks on this RTWbytrain journey. All are return trips, allowing you to continue on the “round-the-world by train” route.
