Around The World by Train. Journey #111 (of #224). Udarata Menike.

Sri Lanka by train. The Udarata Menike train.

The Udarata Menike is a daytime “express” train that runs along the Main Line in Sri Lanka. There is also a night train that runs along this magnificently scenic route through the tea plantations of Sri Lanka (but why would you?).
