After losing his hearing as a child he was an avid sketcher, recording 20 years of city life. In this talk researcher and North Herts Museums Curatorial Trainee Freya Purcell offers an insight into both the artist and how his art can help us to understand the lives of the women whose labour made up the city but was rarely recorded.

This talk will be signed by a BSL interpreter.

To meet demand, the Scottish National Gallery is also offering an online live stream of the event.
